The 2011 Obs Arts Festival is organised by Non Profit Company Observatory Village of Arts, trading as Obs Arts:

Vision

It is our vision to have a society where the community of the Western Cape supports the arts.

Mission Observatory Village of Arts NPC (NPO) is working towards facilitating a process that brings the arts to the people by hosting innovative festivals to support the talents of local artists.

The organisation is overseen by a board of directors, currently they are:

• Andile Siyo, an artist, performer and educator. 
• Andrew Fife, Chairman of the Board, also owner of A Touch of Madness and Chair of Observatory Business Forum (OBF). 
• Brian Amery, the organisation's Financial Manager and COO of the Observatory Improvement District (Obsid). 
• Catherine Moss, active OBF member and Owner manager of art supply store Art Source.
•  Edwin Angless, a documentary film maker and community activist, also a member of Obsid. 
• Justin Ashley, director of Bridge People and Technology and Obsid's Chairman. 
• Marc Turok, an architect and member of the Observatory Civic Association (OCA) 
• Tauriq Jenkins, an actor and playwright. 
• Trevor Hughes, owner of The Wild Fig Restaurant and Chairman of the OCA.
